R-MC Engine test conducted at North Island

The US Navy tested R-MC Cleaner in a running wash on an LM 2500 engine at the North Island test cell facility. The test cell evaluation of R-MC in a running wash showed the effectiveness of ECT’s upgraded LM2500 wash manifold hardware and the cleaning capability of R-MC. The borescope results indicated the compressor was cleaned without the need for a crankwash and there was additionally cleaning in the hot section of the gas turbine. The cleaning in the hot section clearly demonstrated R-MC’s temperature stability and functional advantage over competitor products.
